When it comes to getting your credit card in a hurry, there is no faster way than going for an instant approval credit card. With Web sites all over the Internet, you should be able to easily find one and apply quickly. It only takes a few minutes to know whether you have been approved or not. Here are a few tips to help you find a good instant approval credit card.

Instant approval credit cards are usually given to those with good credit or better. This makes it necessary for you to have a good understanding of your credit profile before you apply. More recently, though, even some with bad credit can get credit cards. Some business credit cards also come under this category.

You want to choose your instant approval credit card according to the largest expense you have every month. This means that you should choose from one of the major credit card types, such as air miles cards, gas cards, general purpose cards, home improvement credit cards, hotel cards, and more. Since the rewards and other benefits are geared toward the type of credit card, you need to select one that will give you the most benefits.

The next thing to review is the interest rate. Since you will eventually be paying this interest rate, it's important to get a low rate.

Then look for the various benefits you want - such as the rewards, rebates and cash back. Some instant approval credit cards offer a large number of points up front when you make your first purchase. This would give you access to some reward almost right away, or, you could save your points for a larger reward.

Points are given for your purchases, and may be divided into two categories. One category includes gas, food and medicine, and will give you up to 5% on some cards. All other purchases go into the other category and may give you 1% to 3% rewards.

If you have debt on existing credit cards, then the balance transfer option could be beneficial. Since most cards will give you a 0% APR interest for up to 15 months, this is a great way to reduce the existing debt and not have to pay interest for a while. Some instant approval credit cards will charge a fee for balance transfers, however, all you need to do is simply look around and you will find one that does not charge for the transfers.

Compare the credit cards to determine which one is best. You especially want to review the fees that each one has, the interest rate, and the length of the introductory offer.

Generally, it only takes a few minutes for you to get your answer for an instant credit card. If there is some question about your credit or the application, you will be contacted about it. Of course, this means it will take longer. Once approved, though, you should have your credit card in about a week.
