Broker

A "broker" is person or entity who, for a fee, acts as the agent of another, assists in arranging funding or negotiating contracts. Typical types of brokers include real estate brokers (assisting buyers and sellers of real estate), securities brokers (acting as an agent for the purchase and sale of stocks and other securities), insurance brokers (procuring and negotiating insurance policies), and mortgage brokers (assisting home owners in obtaining mortgage loans).
